Mayor's Charity ball 2026

As part of his fundraising efforts throughout his Mayoral year, Mayor Matt Sprake held his Mayor’s Charity Ball at the weekend.

The Ball was held in the historic venue of Well-Being at St James’

It was a fabulous and unique evening and thanks to the fabulous generosity of all who attended a huge amount has been raised for the Mayoral Charities, which this year are KIM-Inspire, Holywell Age Friendly/ Dementia friendly and Holywell & Greenfield Churches.

The Mayor would like to thank all the businesses and members of the community who donated raffle and auction prizes for the evening, including:

Kingspan Limited https://www.kingspan.com/…/kingspan-insulated-panels/

Padeswood and Buckley Golf Club

Rhuddlan Golf Club

The Mayor would also like to thank everyone who came together on the evening to make it such a successful evening, including:

DJ Darin Pegg for the music and fabulous lighting

Bourbon & Boots for their lovely brand of country rock, the music filled the venue beautifully https://www.instagram.com/bourbon_and_boots_music/

Daz’s Extravagant Cakes and Bakes for providing his wonderful cakes, those of you who frequent Holywell Market will know this only too well!

Cariad Gin for running the bar for us, raffle prizes and table decorations; they had a great selection of their wonderful gins and spirits https://www.instagram.com/cariad_gin/

The flowers on the table decorations were a beautiful selection from waterhouseflowers

Uniquely for a Mayoral Charity Ball, we were all treated to a scrumptious Fish and Chip supper. A huge thanks to Craig and Daisy coming all the way from Nantwich with “Fish Chip Van” and cooking up a storm https://www.fishchipvan.co.uk/

Finally a thanks to Ian and Jon from Holywell & Greenfield Churches for all their help and support in making this unique event happen. Well-Being at St James’ is a fabulous venue and is available to hire for other community events.

There is still time to donate to these fabulous local charities as Mayor Matt Sprake comes to the end of his Mayoral term. Head over to his Justgiving page for more details: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/mayor-sprake
