St Winefride's Roman Catholic Primary School, Cheque Presentation, October 2026
This morning The Holywell Mayor and Town Councillors visited St Winefride’s Roman Catholic Primary School to present a cheque for £100 from the latest donations from the Council’s Uniform Hub.The donation was made as part of Holywell Town Council’s Eco Uniform initiative. The Town Council runs the Eco Uniform Hub at the Events Hub (opposite Tesco Car Park) either weekly in the summer or monthly after term starts; it will be open again on Thursday 22nd October. Parents donate unwanted uniforms which can then be used again. When parents get the uniforms they can make a voluntary donation and these donations are collected and presented in rotation to the local schools. The Eco Uniform initiative not only supports the local community and schools but also supports the environment by reducing the carbon footprint associated with buying new clothes. If you have unwanted uniform in good condition, then please bring it along to the hub.We accept donations from all the local schools as well as other schools in Flintshire that Holywell pupils may attend, such as Flint High, Richard Gwyn, Maes Garmon, Brynford, Bagillt, Whitford.Pictured is pupils from St Winefride’s being presented with the cheque along with Town Councillors.
