Alton Towers 10k 2025
Mayor Matt Sprake Charity Running
Mayor Matt Sprake has again got his running shoes on, raising monies for his Mayoral charities:
You can donate to the charities on his just giving page:
This time he would appear to have been inspired by the back drop of the rides at Alton Park where he ran a 10k. The Mayor had the following to say (the following may contain rollercoaster and ride names!):
“Another weekend, another 10K completed for my mayoral charities — but this one was a real rollercoaster!
Taking on the Alton Towers 10K, I genuinely thought the course might be my Nemesis, the hills tried to send my legs into Oblivion, but the amazing support around the park kept my spirits Sky-High and crossing the finish line was better than any fast-pass.
Huge thank you to my support team on the day and everyone who continues to donate and support my fundraising journey. Your kindness means the world and helps power me through each run — putting a Smiler on my face.
On to the next ride… I mean race!
