Mayor's Charity Run

The Mayor of Holywell, Matt Sprake, has again been on his running travels and raising plenty of money for his Mayoral charities:

.

This time he ran the inaugural Everton 10k, which finishes at the new Hill Dickinson Stadium; not only that he also set another fabulous PB (personal best), so all that work running up and down the Greenfield Valley parkrun must be paying off!Congratulations Matt!

.

Matt had this to say afterwards:

“The Everton 10K felt a bit daunting at first, especially as a Liverpool fan, but I was cheered on all the way by the amazing crowd and even received donations on the day from blues fans, which was incredibly generous.

I’m thrilled to say I set a new personal best, and I have been genuinely moved by the kindness and generosity of people who donated and supported me on this journey. Every donation will make a real difference to the Mayor’s charities — Kim Inspire, and the Holywell Age & Dementia, and Holywell & Greenfield Churches.”
