Holywell Autumn Club
Our group has been in existence for over 30 years, working each week of the “school year” to prevent loneliness & isolation amongst elderly residents of our town and rural areas. We hold weekly meetings for sociability, bingo, raffles etc with proceeds helping fund other activities including day trips such as train rides, e.g. Snowdon, boat cruises & theatre visits all ending with a sociable meal together.
We also enjoy an annual holiday in Southport or Llandudno. All the above items except the holiday hotel are free for members who also enjoy occasions such as “special” birthdays and various meals out including a Christmas dinner with a hamper treat for each member.
With much ill health and poor mobility, care is taken with choice of destinations and member’s well being, including flowers or hospital visits when necessary. The result is a happy and popular group.
