Town Mayor, Cllr Paul Johnson, held his Civic Sunday in Holywell on 15th September. Crowds including civic dignitaries from other neighbouring town councils, representatives from local organisations such as The Royal British legion, The Scouts, The Joan & Derby Club, The Holywell & District Society and Cymdeithas Thomas Pennant, and family members all turned out to join Cllr Paul Johnson. Following a greeting from Holywell Town Crier, Chris Baglin, the crowds were led by Cambria Band from The Memorial Gates in Panton Place and paraded down to St.James’ Church for the service where the congregation were treated to performances by the Glan Aber Singers. The guests were then invited to visit St.Winefride’s Well for a tour and light refreshments.
